Holiday Cheer

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007 | Church | No Comments

So, I was talking to Betty about the fact that we sang Christmas songs at church. (I am one of the worship leaders at my church.) It is expected that we sing Christmas songs during the Christmas Sunday Service, but I typically don’t like to. They seem dry and lack any meaning behind them because the are so oversung during the holiday season. Later in the service, we sang different songs, worship songs, and there was an obvious difference; there was just a different feel in the air. As I was lamenting, I made the comment that “you’ll never see someone run the aisles over Away In A Manger.” At that point, Betty and I lost it. The visual of it was too funny!
